Bio: Self taught French creative living in UK with a passion for illustration and textile arts. Hi, I am Marie. I come from France and I settled in the South of England a few years ago. I I enjoy creating textiles artworks which are usually framed into wooden embroidery hoops. I am self taught and enjoy quite as much the process of learning as the process of creating. I mainly use recycled textiles for my creations (Yay for UK charity shops!) and I let the colours, patterns guide me through the creative process. Although I have a few pieces which have been very well thought of about before being made, I generally get inspired by the moment. As a consequence, it is very rare I end up creating whatever I thought I was creating : clouds become she eps, birds turn into flowers … I really like the excitement of new ideas popping in while I am looking at my stock of fabrics or when I am doing any random activity ,) Thank you for looking at my profile and at my blog 🙂 Don't hesitate leaving a comment so I can also visit your page!
